Former Anambra state governor Peter Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are not wanted by the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to Ismaeel Ahmed, a party official in Kano state.

A post on Saturday from Mic On The Podcast’s official X account carried this remark.

According to the tweet that went viral, Ahmed expressed their disapproval of any merger between Atiku and Peter Obi in the run-up to the 2027 presidential election. He warned that a possible alliance between the ex-governor of Anambra state and the ex-vice president may spell trouble for the All Progressive Congress.

His alleged statement was that

“God forbid that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi come together. We don’t want them to.

“If you look at the votes of Atiku plus Obi in the 2023 presidential election, we could have easily lost the election if they are put together. It is a threat if they come together!”.
