According to a report by Daily Trust on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Sa’idu Murtala, a garden egg seller in Jos North, has shared how a Christian man saved his life during a deadly attack in the Anguwan Rukuba area of Plateau State.

The attack happened on Sunday evening while Murtala was still selling his goods. He had planned to stay out a bit longer with his friend Hassan, who sells sugarcane. Suddenly, gunshots filled the area, and people began running for safety.

In the middle of the chaos, a Christian resident quickly opened his home and offered Murtala a place to hide. He took him inside and kept him safe in his wife’s room. Despite knowing Murtala was a Muslim, the man treated him with kindness and even asked his wife to give him food. He also helped calm him down after the frightening experience.

Murtala said the experience taught him that good people exist everywhere, regardless of religion. He believes kindness like this can make the world a more peaceful place.
