Grief and anger filled the air in Jos as Mrs Favour Ayuba mourned her son, Promise, who was killed during a violent attack in the Angwan Rukuba area of Plateau State. According to a report by the Punch on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in an emotional moment during her son’s burial, Mrs Ayuba showed the depth of her pain. She had reportedly not eaten since the day of the attack and struggled to hold back tears as she performed final rites. As part of the ceremony, she placed a cutlass wrapped in white cloth inside her son’s coffin, a symbolic act that reflected her sorrow and desire for justice.
