Dughuryil Daniel, a staff member at the University of Jos, said he was on his way to buy foodstuffs for his children before being shot during an attack in Anguwan Rukuba. The incident occurred after armed men stormed the community and opened fire on residents.
It’s no news that armed men wearing military‑style uniforms entered Anguwan Rukuba and began firing at residents, causing panic and forcing people to flee. Witnesses reported chaotic scenes as neighbors sought cover and tried to help the wounded.
In a video from 1:26 shared by ARISE TV, Dughuryil Daniel said he was at the roundabout junction of Anguwan Rukuba to buy breakfast items for his children. He described returning to board a Keke when he was struck by a gunshot to his leg and said he had been unaware of any disturbance before the shooting.
