At the July 2024 Leadership Empowerment Summit held at LFC Canaanland, Bishop David Oyedepo addressed misconceptions about his financial involvement in ministry accounts.
During his speech on “What Are Prophecies,” Oyedepo emphasized that he is not a signatory to any ministry accounts, including those of the universities associated with his ministry.
“You may never come across a perfect prophet, but the gift they carry is perfect,” Oyedepo stated, referencing James 1:17 to highlight that the spiritual gifts prophets possess come from God. He urged his audience to focus on these gifts rather than judging the prophets themselves.
Oyedepo emphasized the importance of tapping into the prophetic virtues of the Commission for personal growth and fulfillment of prophecies. He illustrated this by citing his unwavering respect for Kenneth Hagin, despite not knowing if Hagin was always right.
In the Sermon VIDEO from to 1 hour 50 minutes “My greatest joy is to see every Winner worldwide carry all the virtue and the graces upon this Commission as individuals and begin to manifest it in their own lives,” he said. Oyedepo stressed the significance of genuine church membership and active spiritual engagement over mere attendance.
In a striking revelation, Oyedepo declared, “I’m not a signatory today to any ministry account, including the universities.” He recounted an instance where he followed a prophetic instruction to safeguard church funds from armed robbers, highlighting his commitment to integrity.
He added, “To all our Resident Pastors all around the world, now watch, I’ve never been in charge of this Church money since inception and God is my witness. ”
Addressing church workers, he urged them to serve Christ rather than the church for true spiritual rewards. He concluded by encouraging everyone to pray for the grace to see prophecies fulfilled through obedience to God’s commands.
