Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has offered thanks to God and his home church community for standing by him during the difficult months of political crisis that kept him out of office. The governor, who was recently reinstated after six months of emergency rule in Rivers State, attended a thanksgiving service in his local church where he described the moment as deeply personal.
In a video shared by SYMFONI TV from 3:18, Fubara explained that his return to the church was not a public event but a private act of worship with a few close friends. He stressed the importance of his home church in his journey, noting that it remained the place of strength and faith that would continue to guide him as he faced the challenges of leadership.
The governor highlighted his belief in the sustaining power of prayers, comparing them to deposits in a bank that eventually yield benefits. He attributed his survival and return to office to the collective prayers offered on his behalf by members of the church and well-wishers across the state.
According to him, his thanksgiving was not only for the mercies shown in his personal life and that of his family, but also for the peace and progress of Rivers State and Nigeria at large.
In his words, “When my story ends, it is this church that will lead me to my next set of journeys. So it’s important I come to this church, which is my last hope, to say thank you quietly before the Almighty.” See, More, Here>>>>
