Adaze Emwanta, an APC chieftain, revealed that he served as the spokesperson for Governor Obaseki and held the position of Commissioner for Information in 2020. He mentioned that Obaseki had the goodwill of the federal government under President Buhari, and noted the critical role Obaseki played in the removal of Adams Oshiomhole as APC National Chairman, which Emwanta asserts was essential for Obaseki’s electoral victory.

He further explained that Obaseki attended the peace accord signing in 2020 without issues and had the full backing of the federal government. Reflecting on the changes since then, Emwanta suggested that Obaseki’s current desire for control over political structures contrasts with his earlier reliance on the goodwill of Adams Oshiomhole and the support of the federal government.

He said in an interview with Channels TV from minutes 9:42, ” I was the spokesperson to Obaseki until recently. I served in the Interior Ministry as his commissioner. I was his commissioner for information in 2020. Obaseki had the goodwill of the federal government under Buhari. Remember it was on your program Adams Oshiomhole was removed as National Chairman in the APC. Obaseki activated that because he knew it was the only way he could win that election.

He was at the peace signing of the peace accord in 2020. What has changed? He wants to control the structure. In 2016, it was Adams Oshiomhole that made him governor with his goodwill. He didn’t complain about the Commissioner of Police in 2020. He cried to Buhari because of the internal wrigglings in the APC. They removed Oshiomhole, and he enjoyed full support of the federal government.”….Vïew_Next
