According to Punch, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has described as “wickedness” the alleged attempt to reassign PDP positions already zoned to specific states. He revealed this while reacting to efforts to unseat him as the party’s National Secretary in an interview with journalists in Abuja.
“It is wickedness for anybody who wants to take something from Ebonyi State and put it in Anambra State when positions are evenly distributed,” Anyanwu declared.
He emphasized that the PDP’s zoning structure clearly allocated the National Secretary position to Imo State in the South-East region, supporting his continued hold on the post.
“According to the zoning, it was zoned to the South and micro-zoned to South East… and it was zoned to Imo State,” he explained.
The lawmaker criticized party figures attempting to alter that structure based on personal interests. He accused such leaders of dividing the party, warning that attempts to shift the position could trigger internal legal crises.
