According to a report by Times of Israel, o October 21, 2025, US President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Hamas on Monday, stating he could order Israel to resume military operations in Gaza but is choosing to give the recently brokered ceasefire additional time to hold.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump emphasized that the ceasefire agreement includes expectations for Hamas to demonstrate restraint.
“We made a deal with Hamas that they’re going to be very good, they’re going to behave, they’re going to be nice, and if not, we’re going to eradicate them if we have to,” the president declared.
The remarks came following Sunday’s deadly attack on Israeli Defense Forces troops in Gaza. Trump maintained his position that Hamas leadership did not authorize the assault, suggesting internal discord within the organization.
“I don’t believe it was the leadership, but they have some rebellion in there among themselves,” he stated.
The president appeared to reference recent violent internal conflicts within Gaza, including reported executions by Hamas against rival clan members.
Trump claimed multiple countries have contacted him expressing willingness to intervene militarily in Gaza, though only Indonesia has publicly indicated such readiness.
Officials familiar with the discussions suggest Azerbaijan and Turkey have privately expressed interest in potential involvement.
The president stressed that Israel remains prepared to act immediately if directed. “Israel would go in in two minutes if I asked them. I could tell them, ‘Go in and take care of it.’ But right now, we haven’t said that. We’re going to give it a little chance,” Trump explained. See, More, Here>>>
