According to report by Iran News Agency on Wednesday, 17 September, 2025, Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Ali Bahraini, has strongly condemned Israel’s recent airstrike in Doha, Qatar, that resulted in the deaths of several Hamas leaders, including Khalil al-Hayya.

According to Bahraini, this incident is not an isolated event but rather a symptom of Israel’s fundamentally aggressive nature, which poses a threat to global security.

He argued that the international community’s failure to uphold legal and moral principles has emboldened Israel to act with impunity, disregarding international law and norms of civilized nations.

Bahraini characterized Israel as an “apartheid regime” that does not believe in negotiation, peace, or stability.

He warned that if the international community does not respond decisively to Israel’s aggression, it will continue unabated, spreading like a cancer and destabilizing the entire region.

The Iranian ambassador attributed Israel’s temporary two-week cessation of violence to the intervention of Iran’s armed forces, emphasizing that without such actions, Israel’s aggression would persist unchecked.

Bahraini’s remarks underscore the deep-seated tensions between Iran and Israel, with Iran positioning itself as a key player in the region’s security dynamics.
