Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi hss claimed that military and intelligence officials have contacted him about defecting from the current regime led by the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as tensions escalate between Israel and Iran.
Speaking to Fox News, Pahlavi described receiving communications from regime insiders expressing willingness to abandon their posts. The crown prince positioned these alleged defections as more powerful than military action in potentially destabilizing Iran’s leadership. “I think there is enough damage done to the regime without having to take it to the next level, but if their objective finally is for this regime to collapse, the element much stronger than a bomb and much more effective are the people themselves,” he stated during the interview.
The crown prince detailed recent contact from Iranian officials across multiple sectors. “In the past 48 hours, as a result of this latest campaign, many elements within the military have reached out to me that they are ready to defect, ready to peel away from the regime and ready to join with the people and demonstrate that to the people. Some within the intelligence sector as well as the bureaucratic setup have also made contact,” he claimed.
The crown prince characterized these developments as part of a broader pattern he anticipated. “We are seeing more and more defections beginning, which is something I’ve anticipated and called for, because they realize that it is pointless to stay there and to try to defend the regime that doesn’t care about the nation and doesn’t care about our country,” Pahlavi concluded.
The Iranian Crown Prince also revealed that there is a growing movement of nationalist forces within Iran who prioritize the country’s territorial integrity over loyalty to the current government. According to the Crown Prince, these individuals consider their primary duty to be protecting the Iranian nation rather than carrying out orders to harm citizens on behalf of the ruling regime.
The Crown Prince indicated his belief that allowing these internal processes to unfold naturally could lead to the regime’s eventual collapse from within, suggesting that domestic opposition might prove more effective than external pressure in bringing about political change in Iran.
