Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was ready for another war with Israel, promising a stronger response if provoked again.

According to a report by the Jerusalem Post on Wednesday 27 August, 2025, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi during an interview after a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers, declared that anything was possible, and Iran was prepared for all scenarios, claiming that Iran’s relentless missile strikes forced Israel to beg for an unconditional ceasefire, referring to the twelve days hostilities between Tehran, and Tel Aviv that resulted in the death of several innocent civilians.

He also slammed Israel’s actions as attempts to drag the Middle East into an oil war by targeting Iran’s oil facilities, accusing Netanyahu’s Government of aiming to destabilize the region, particularly warning Gulf nations like the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar to focus on Israel’s policies, which he claimed could choke the Strait of Hormuz.

In his words, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “We continued our missile strikes on Israel until the last moment, while they thought they could stop us within 48 hours. After 12 days, it was Israel that requested an unconditional ceasefire, and since their request came without conditions, we accepted it. Iran is ready for a stronger response against Israel, if Israel repeats its attacks on Iran, then Iran is ready for another war, and Israel will face a stronger response. Iran resisted attempts of the enemies to target Iran, not through diplomacy or dialogue, but through missiles.”

The top Iranian diplomat, Abbas Araghchi, went further to signal Iran’s readiness to resume talks with the American Government, but with a firm condition that guarantees against aggression, insisting that Iran had never left the negotiating table, even after US and Israeli airstrikes on its nuclear facilities in June during Operation Rising Lion.
