According to a report by Times of Israel, on August 30, 2025, in a recently aired pre-recorded television interview, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed the paramount importance of national unity, stating that even with advanced military equipment, such as missiles and fighter jets, without the cohesion of the people, Iran holds no true power.
“If we have missiles and F-16 and F-35 fighter jets but lack the unity and cohesion of the people, we have no power at all,” Pezeshkian said.
This statement highlights his belief that the strength of the country fundamentally depends on the solidarity of its citizens rather than just military technology.
Addressing the ongoing geopolitical tensions, Pezeshkian made it clear that Iran does not desire war but is prepared to defend itself if necessary.
“Iran does not seek war, but if Israel and the United States attack, Iran will stand against them forcefully,” he asserted. His remarks come amid heightened concerns over potential conflicts involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
He also expressed concern about efforts by foreign powers to create divisions within Iran. “America and Israel seek to divide and destroy Iran, but no Iranian wants Iran to be divided,” Pezeshkian stated firmly.
