In a significant escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has issued a stern warning regarding the potential for a regional conflict following Israel’s recent air strikes on Yemen.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, This military action comes in response to a drone attack on Tel Aviv attributed to the Iran-backed Houthi movement.

“Quiet will not return to the region so long as Israeli attacks on Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip, continue,” the spokesman stated, emphasizing the ongoing instability fueled by Israeli military operations.

The Iranian official further condemned Israel’s actions, asserting that Israel and its allies, particularly the United States, bear responsibility for the “dangerous repercussions” stemming from these attacks on Yemen.

He characterized the air strikes as a manifestation of “dangerous adventurism” by the Israeli regime, which he claims exacerbates the already volatile situation in the region.

The recent Israeli airstrikes targeted the Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeidah, reportedly causing extensive damage to oil storage facilities and a power plant, with civilian casualties reported. The Israeli military justified the attacks as a necessary response to over 200 assaults by the Houthis on Israeli territory, marking a significant shift in Israel’s military engagement in Yemen.

Iran’s condemnation reflects broader concerns about the escalating conflict in Gaza and its potential to draw in neighboring countries, with Iranian officials warning that the cycle of violence could spiral out of control if not addressed.
