Prince Eniola Ojajuni, President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, has shared how he was kidnapped by bandits and held captive for 12 days.

Speaking in a recent interview with Punch, Ojajuni stated that the incident happened while he was traveling on a bus with others. He said the bandits, dressed in military uniforms, suddenly came out of a bush and started shooting at their bus. He disclosed that the driver could have escaped with the vehicle if he had acted quickly, but instead, he stopped and angrily cursed the shooters, not realizing they were kidnappers.

Ojajuni stated that he noticed he had been hit by a bullet and quickly informed the driver. He said he told the driver to turn the vehicle around to escape but the driver said he couldn’t because one of the tyres had already been shot. He added that thoughts of his wife and children ran through his mind as the situation unfolded.
