The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Joash Ojo Amupitan has reacted after a presenter asked him what will happen if the African Democratic Congress, ADC proceeds with its National Convention.
The reaction of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC was contained in a viral video from 20:15 that was posted on the official YouTube page of ARISE NEWS on Friday, April 3, 2026.
This is coming after INEC removed the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC on its portal.
In the video that surfaced online, the INEC Chairman said if any party holds convention while battling legal issues, the court will not recognize it. He said even if the party wins an election, it will be nullified by the court.
Here is what Joash Ojo Amupitan said;
“Let me tell you, It has happened in Zamfara, It happened in the past. We don’t want to conduct an election and after you have won, the court will come and declare the election invalid. And the implication is that the person with the second highest number of votes will be declared as winner”. Read_More…
