Former Senate Majority Leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi, has shared her perspective on the leadership style of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, comparing it to previous Senate sessions.

Olujimi emphasized that during the 8th and 9th Senate, lawmakers were treated with dignity and respect, noting that Akpabio himself was part of that system.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, she stated, “In the 8th and 9th Senate, we never had anything like that, and Senator Akpabio was one of us.

He was one of the members.

They treated us with dignity and with decorum,” Olujimi stated.

Her remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the leadership approach of the current Senate under Akpabio.

While she did not specify any particular issues in the present Senate, her statement suggests a contrast between past legislative sessions and the current one.

Her comments may fuel further debate on whether the Senate under Akpabio maintains the same standards of decorum and fairness as previous administrations.
