In an interview on Monday, Iranian Vice President Javad Zarif emphasized the autonomy of resistance movements in the region. He stated that in Iran’s military operations, specifically the April and October “True Promise” attacks against Israel, it was Iran that responded to Israel, not the resistance.

Zarif challenged the narrative that Iran commands these groups, asserting that it has never been the case that Iran gives orders. He described this perception as a false narrative propagated by the Zionist regime worldwide.

According to Iran International, Zarif stated, “In the first and second ‘True Promise’ operations, it was Iran that responded to Israel, not the resistance. Never has it been the case that Iran gives orders and the resistance acts; this is a false perception that the Zionist regime has propagated worldwide.”
