Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike recently took to his official X handle to slam former presidential aspirant and renowned human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore. According to his statements which drew widespread attention from the general public, he pointed out that he was more popular than Sowore.
Former presidential aspirant and renowned human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has once again, come under intense bashing from Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.
This came amid Omoyele Sowore’s criticism of the former Rivers State governor, as the verbal confrontations between the duo reached escalating heights following the activist’s comments that Wike should never had occupied a leadership position.
According to Lere Olayinka in a recent viral statement which was shared on his official X handle, he was more of popular than the former presidential aspirant as evident in the outcome of the 2023 polls.
In his remarks which stirred massive debate, he pointed out that Sowore contested for presidency and out of 774 LGAs, he got just 14,603, while he (Lere Olayinka) who contested for a seat in the house of Reps got an impressive 11,504 votes from just 3 LGAs.
He further accused the former presidential aspirant of squandering over $5m he raised for the election. The recent verbal bashing from Lere Olayinka indicated that the breach in relationship between Sowore and Nyesom Wike might not be mended anytime soon.
