According to a recent video from 0:15 by Lucky Udu on Sunday, March 22, 2026, a man has recounted his harrowing experience after being abducted by the Islamist insurgent group Boko Haram in 2014 and taken to Sambisa Forest, where he was forced to serve as a teacher.

The victim said he was a student when he was captured and coerced into teaching children in captivity. He revealed that upon arrival, he was locked in a room for three weeks without food, surviving only on water. According to him, he was later presented to a commander and assigned to teach Arabic and religious studies.

He explained that the group rejected Western education, describing subjects like English and Mathematics as forbidden. Despite harsh conditions, he began teaching under strict supervision, with armed guards preventing his escape.

The man said life in the camp was tightly controlled, with severe punishment for disobedience. After about three months, he escaped with the help of a sympathetic insider who warned him of a planned execution.

He was eventually rescued by soldiers and reunited with his family, though he later learned his father had been killed.

His Words:” In 2014, I was in school. Boko Haram came to me. They said that they would take me to Sambisa to be their teacher. From then on, I had nothing to say. I just agreed. They took me to Sambisa.

They gave me one room aside. They put me inside that room for about three weeks. I didn’t get anything. They only gave me water to drink. I spent three weeks without food and without taking a bath.

So they took me out. They said, “Okay, let’s go to our elder, the commander.” We went there. They said, “Look at this man. He is a teacher from the state. We brought him here to teach our children.” He said I was welcome. I said, “Thank you, sir.” Read_More…
