Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has said he may consider returning to the All Progressives Congress (APC), but only if his political group the Kwankwasiyya Movement is fully respected, as reported by Leadership on Friday September 19 2025.
This was revealed during a recent meeting with party members in Kano. Kwankwaso explained that while he is open to talks with APC leaders, he will not accept any deal that ignores the interests of his loyal supporters.
“I am willing to engage with the APC, but only under clear agreement that guarantees full recognition of my political movement, the Kwankwasiyya. My movement and its people are paramount to me, and I cannot abandon them for any political arrangement,” Kwankwaso stated.
The Kwankwasiyya Movement, which has strong roots in Kano and other northern states, is known for its grassroots support and red cap symbol. Kwankwaso made it clear that his followers must be part of any future political arrangement. See, More, Here>>>>
