He also urged Nigerians to remain committed to God regardless of their station in life, speaking at the blessing and official opening of the Regina Coeli Parish Rectory in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, Akpabio said his journey from obscurity to becoming the nation’s number three citizen is a testimony of God’s special favour.
Senate President Akpabio said his rise in politics was not accidental but the result of divine guidance and intervention throughout his life.
He recounted the challenges he faced before entering politics and how faith helped him overcome obstacles and stay focused on his goals.

The blessing and official opening of the Regina Coeli Parish Rectory drew several top clerics and political leaders.

Senate President Akpabio announced plans to establish a new worship centre within the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
