Police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi has spoken about weapons recovered from kidnappers during a recent police operation. He said the kidnappers use locally made barrel guns and other dangerous weapons to carry out their crimes.
He emphasized that the police are determined to keep fighting against kidnapping, which has become a serious challenge.
Speaking in a video shared by Symfoni TV from 14:31, Adejobi advised the public to stay alert and be cautious of people carrying crossbody bags, especially those on motorcycles. He also said that police tactical teams are actively working to tackle the issue of kidnapping and armed robbery, and their efforts are yielding results. He said some of the weapons recovered are Beretta gun, AK-49, locally made barrel guns which he noted are deadly. He reassured that the police are committed to maintaining safety and will continue to succeed in the fight against kidnappers.
