Attorney Kabir Akingbolu offered his opinion on the political unrest in Rivers State in a frank interview with TVC News from 2:00. He advocated for peaceful governance and warned against taking any steps that would cause the state to become unstable. Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s claim that his adherents might behave without consequence was especially brought up by Akingbolu, who called it a “invitation to chaos.” Given that Wike played a crucial part in Fubara’s journey to the governorship, Akingbolu expressed surprise at the division between Fubara and his erstwhile patron.
The lawyer urged Wike to let Fubara finish his term, stressing that choices about a possible second term have to be taken at a later date. Akingbolu emphasized, “If you don’t want to support him again, that should be another ball game. Let him finish this tenure.” He urged all parties involved to prioritize peaceful administration and refrain from actions that could disrupt the state’s stability.
He said, “If you do want to support him again for a second term, fine and good. Now that he’s there as the governor, he has spent one year tumultuously. Let him finish this tenure. If you don’t want to support him (Fubara) again, that should be another ball game.”……Sēe Morē
