In a recent video on YouTube from 02:51, prominent Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has forecast a major political upset in the 2027 elections, insisting that President Bola Tinubu could be unseated if a coalition of opposition forces materializes. Speaking during a prophetic session, Ayodele argued that unity among certain unnamed political heavyweights could shift the balance of power.

“If the coalition existed, is agreeable, three people I’m looking [at] as their vice president,” Ayodele said, stressing that the choice of a running mate would be pivotal in shaping the opposition’s chances.

He further explained that the configuration of this alliance would determine the outcome of the polls. “And if president allow them to pick those people with this giant person I’m looking, [they] have… just 40%. And that giant will have like about 65% to 80% to defeat,” Ayodele stated, projecting a decisive win for the opposition bloc.

The cleric, known for his political prophecies, has repeatedly warned that Tinubu’s reelection bid is not guaranteed. He insists that while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may retain significant influence, it risks being overwhelmed if the opposition unites behind a single strong candidate.

Ayodele’s prediction highlights the critical role of coalition-building in Nigeria’s political landscape. With the 2027 elections still two years away, several opposition parties are already exploring possible alliances, but internal divisions and competing ambitions remain obstacles. Political observers note that without unity, the opposition risks handing Tinubu an easy victory.

“Coalition politics in Nigeria is complicated. Ayodele’s prophecy may be tapping into the popular frustration with governance, but whether opposition leaders can actually set aside egos and agree on a common front is the real question,” a Lagos-based analyst commented.

The cleric’s reference to a “giant person” has fueled speculation about potential presidential contenders, with some interpreting it as a nod to established political heavyweights or emerging reformist figures. His estimated vote margins — placing the coalition at 65–80% support — suggest he envisions not just a victory, but a landslide capable of shaking Nigeria’s political establishment.
