A former spokesperson for the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Showunmi, has, during an interview on NewsDay, an Arise Television Programme from 6:55.

He said that if the conversations about defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027 is anything to go by, the main opposition party should beg the former Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, to come back.

Segun Showunmi had said, “I’m saying that if the energy that is driving conversation is anything to go by, they should just beg him back and they should stop playing games, and we can just solve the South-Eastern debt we have. And I believe that the PDP must have learned a serious lesson, which is that you can’t undermine the geeks that have been giving you the most numbers. The only time we struggled was when the Igbos were not backing us.”
