Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North and serving as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior, has alleged that if standing up for his rights is causing trouble, then he is ready to cause trouble.
He accused Air Peace of partiality in carrying out their duties. His comments were made during a recent press briefing and shared by ViableTV on their official YouTube channel.
Oshiomhole, a former Edo State governor, drew significant public attention with his strong stance, declaring that he is prepared to stir up further controversy in his pursuit of justice and accountability.
Although his conduct while attempting to board a flight sparked criticism from some quarters, the senator stood firm on his position. He expressed that his actions were driven not by personal gain but by a desire to protect the rights of all Nigerians.
In the video posted by ViableTV, the former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress alleged that the airline’s management demonstrated bias. However, he clarified that he did not seek any special treatment, only fair and equal enforcement of rights.
“All I want is for my rights to be upheld,” Oshiomhole stated. “They recognized me and wanted to give me special treatment, but I refused. I told them not to extend any courtesy or privileges to me—just do what’s right. If standing up for my rights is considered causing trouble, then I’m ready to cause trouble for as long as it takes.”
