The Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Peter Nwebonyi, has criticised Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for her resistance to seat reallocation in the Senate. Speaking in an interview with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Nwebonyi expressed his concerns over what he described as her refusal to abide by Senate regulations and adjustments.
According to Nwebonyi during the interview, “other senators have moved in that order. Two persons exited from their former position, and over ten senators adjusted. What is so special about Senator Natasha that she cannot obey the rules of the Senate? She is not the only senator that was reallocated to a new seat. Before now, Senator Yayi of Ogun State was reallocated. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was reallocated, and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was reallocated. Senator Wamakko was reallocated. What is wrong with Senator Natasha?
Speaking about the Senate, he said that “the Senate is a very high-placed institution, and if you find yourself there, you must adjust. You will have to drop your personal character and abide by the rules of the game.
He further added that “Senator Natasha has a common problem in her life for not being submissive, law-abiding, and for thinking everything is all about making noise. If she thinks she is intelligent, we have more intelligent people than her in the Senate, and if she thinks she is outspoken, we have more outspoken people than her in the Senate.
