Prince Kassim Afegbua, a former commissioner for information in Edo State, has weighed in on the plans to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In recent times, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election; Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president; and Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna state, have adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a platform to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
However, in the video, the ex-commissioner, Kassim Afegbua, stated that the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, will be defeated in the 2027 presidential polls.
Afegbua questioned rhetorically if the southeast will permit Peter Obi to spend four years in office, assuming he becomes president by accident.
He maintained that if an easterner becomes Nigeria’s president, it will take a lot of political relevance before such a person can be unseated, as it has been a while since Nigeria had a president from the Eastern region.
According to the video, “If Peter Obi by accident becomes president, do you think the southeast will allow him to spend four years?
