Former APC acting National Secretary Waziri Bulama has strongly dismissed the former Attorney General Abubakar Malami’s authority to speak for the political loyalties of late President Muhammadu Buhari and former Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) members.

Malami recently accused former governors Tanko Al-Makura and Bello Masari of supporting President Tinubu for personal gain, claiming they cannot represent the CPC bloc.

Speaking during an interview with Arise TV from 28:28, Bulama questioned Malami’s credentials and authority to make such statements. “If not because Buhari appointed him as Justice Minister, who is Malami for God’s sake? He’s in no position to speak on anything, on any issue, for anybody,” Bulama said dismissively.

The former APC secretary argued that many of those claiming to represent the CPC were not significant figures in the original party structure. “There are just a few of them who were chairmen of the defunct CPC. The CPC as a party got dissolved. The entire structure of the party was dissolved along with the ACN and other parties in 2013 to fuse and, you know, lead to the emergence of the APC,” he explained.

Bulama emphasized that the CPC no longer exists as a political entity. “The CPC is history; it does not exist at all,” he stated firmly.

He explained why former CPC members recently rallied under Senator Al-Makura’s leadership. “The reason why, for instance, in the last two or three months we rallied and came together under Senator Tanko Al-Makura was to respond to the false and mischievous attempt by a few colleagues, former colleagues of ours, who wanted to disrupt and divide the APC by calling the name CPC,” Bulama said.

Bulama cited the late president’s own position to settle the matter definitively. “But even then, when they started this futile effort, President Muhammadu Buhari himself was alive. He came out and said that his loyalty, his commitment, his convictions remain with the APC. So, that seals the issue. There’s no CPC anymore,” he said. See, More, Here>>>>
