Einav Zangauker, the mother of hostage Matan Zangauker, delivered a sharp warning to Israel’s leadership during a rally at Begin Gate in Tel Aviv on Saturday.

Addressing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly, she declared: “If Matan returns in a bag, I will ensure Netanyahu charged with murder.”

According to Jerusalem Post, her words reflected growing anger among hostage families who accuse the government of undermining potential deals.

“According to a senior security official, my Matan could have been home already last week,” she said.

“The government put a partial outline on the table and torpedoed it at the last minute.

Every time we face a new false spin from Netanyahu.”

Protesters gathered in Tel Aviv also voiced opposition to the IDF’s planned incursion into Gaza City, demanding instead an immediate ceasefire agreement.

The Hostage and Missing Families Forum warned that military escalation places captives in grave danger.

“History is repeating itself—42 hostages were kidnapped alive and murdered in captivity.

We must not reach number 43,” the forum stressed.

Talks with Hamas have stalled repeatedly. In July, Hamas halted negotiations until humanitarian conditions in Gaza improved.

When contacts resumed, it demanded the release of Nukhba terrorists, international guarantees against renewed fighting, and Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, including the Philadelphi Corridor.

Netanyahu rejected these demands, saying no government could agree.

Yet families insist Hamas has since softened its stance.

“Hamas already accepted mediator Witkoff’s terms more than a week ago, but Netanyahu refuses to act,” said Yehuda Cohen, father of hostage Nimrod.
