In a video shared by TVC from 0.25, Senate President Godswill Akpabio apologized for his recent remarks directed at Senator Natasha Akpoti

During a Senate session, Akpabio told Akpoti that she needed to be recognized before speaking, adding that they were not in a nightclub. This comment sparked backlash, as many felt it was inappropriate.

However, in response to the criticism, Akpabio apologized to Natasha. He explained that his intention was not to offend her. He clarified that no matter how he framed his words, they would likely be misunderstood.

In Akpabio’s words: “Distinguish Senator Natasha I want to apologize to you if you felt offended. If I had said that we are not in the market, they will say I said you are a market woman. If I said we are not in a nightclub where people shout above the noise of the music, they will say you went to nightclub. If I said we were not in a community meeting in a village they will say Akpabio said Natasha is a village woman. There is nothing I will say that will not be misunderstood”….Seë_Morë
