Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has made a strong promise to Nigerians about his plans if elected President in 2027, as reported by Daily Post on Saturday, 9 August, 2025.
During a recent online discussion, Amaechi said he will change Nigeria’s constitution from focusing on indigeneship to citizenship.
This change means that all Nigerians, no matter where they come from, will have equal rights and recognition.
Amaechi believes this will help unite the country and promote fairness.
He also made a bold pledge to end corruption within one month of becoming President.
He said if he fails to achieve these two major goals changing the constitution and stopping corruption he will resign from office.
“If I become President I will change the constitution from indigeneship to citizenship.
If I do not end corruption in Nigeria, change the constitution within one month as president, I will tender my resignation,” he said.
