Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries International, has offered a deep reflection on the nature of God’s dwelling during a recent Recovery Conference held in Ottawa, Canada.

Speaking to his audience, Suleman posed a thought-provoking question: “If God lives in heaven, where was He before He created the heaven?” He explained that heaven is not God’s residence but rather His throne. “Heaven is His throne — not His house,” he emphasized.

He pointed out that God existed before the creation of heaven, and thus cannot be confined to it. “In the beginning, God created the heavens. So, He couldn’t have been living there before He made it,” Suleman said.

The cleric described God as dwelling in light, not in a physical location. “God is the immortality that dwells in light,” he said. “Light is revelation. And revelation is illumination acted upon. Until it is acted upon, it is not revelation.”

He went on to clarify that just as a throne is not necessarily someone’s personal residence, heaven being God’s throne does not mean He is limited to it. “Your palace is not your house. Your throne is not your house. The same way heaven is not where God lives.”

The sermon emphasized the importance of spiritual revelation over religious assumptions. According to Suleman, every time believers connect with genuine revelation and apply it, they come into direct contact with God.

He concluded by urging the congregation to seek light — not merely in the physical sense, but in spiritual insight and understanding. “When light hits you, God meets you there,” he said.

Suleman’s message at the conference encouraged attendees to reflect more deeply on the spiritual essence of God beyond earthly or heavenly structures.
