Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan has strongly denied allegations that she is linked to the KGB, the Russian intelligence agency. Speaking to the press after visiting her hometown, she expressed disappointment over her suspension from the Senate and accused her colleague, Senator Karimi from Kogi West, of making false claims against her.
In a video that was shared by News Central, According to Natasha, Senator Karimi allegedly tried to paint her as an agent infiltrating the National Assembly and democracy itself. In response, she took what she called a “preemptive measure” by writing to the police, requesting that they invite Karimi to explain how he got such information.
“I took a preemptive measure by writing to the police so that they could invite Senator Karimi to testify or attest to how he knew about the so-called KGB agents and infiltration moves,” she said.
Natasha also criticized her suspension, calling it illegal and unjust. She revealed that the judge handling her case, Justice Egwuatu, stepped down on March 25, 2025, due to pressure and threats. She hopes that the new judge, Justice Binta Nyako, will stand firm and ensure justice is served.
The senator remains determined to fight for her position and return to her legislative duties. “If the bad people keep winning, the whole country and our democracy will suffer,” she warned, urging for courage and fairness in governance.
Natasha Akpoti is hopeful that she will soon be back in the Senate, representing the people who elected her.
