According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, July 31, 2025, as part of his contribution to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Dr. Nicolas Felix, a 2023 APC presidential aspirant, on Thursday distributed thousands of litres of fuel free of charge to residents of Suleja, Niger State.
The outreach, which witnessed a large turnout of motorcyclists and tricycle operators, aimed to alleviate the rising cost of transportation for the city’s working-class population. Felix emphasized that the gesture was not politically motivated but a personal effort to support struggling Nigerians.
“As you know, this is our Renewed Hope season. We are just doing this to put smiles on the faces of the people,” he said. “We did this in 2023 in Edo State and decided to come back here to make the people happy. As you can see, they are all smiling.”
Felix added that the initiative specifically targets low-income earners. “This outreach is for everybody, but we know those who need it more. I would be surprised if I see a G-Wagon here coming to take free fuel,” he remarked. “This is more for the Okada and Keke riders. We just want to give back.”
Felix was joined at the event by the APC Deputy National Woman Leader, Hajia Zainab Ibrahim, who commended the gesture and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to grassroots empowerment.
Ibrahim also highlighted legislative efforts underway to advance women’s representation in governance, pointing to the Special Seats Bill before the National Assembly as a potential “game changer.” She further noted that, for the first time, the Ministry of Women Affairs received a budgetary allocation exceeding N100 billion.
According to her, such initiatives underscore the APC’s determination to improve lives and strengthen public trust, especially among women. “Nigerian women will queue behind Tinubu in 2027,” she declared confidently.
