According to Times of Israel, Vice President Kamala Harris has expressed her gratitude and commitment to the Democratic nomination after receiving President Joe Biden’s endorsement as he steps down from the 2024 presidential race.
“I am honored to have been endorsed by President Joe Biden as he stepped down from the presidential race, and it is my intention to earn and win this nomination,” Harris stated during a campaign event in Fayetteville, North Carolina on July 18th.
The Vice President emphasized her determination to unite the Democratic Party and the nation in order to defeat former President Donald Trump, stating, “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party and unite our nation — to defeat Donald Trump.”
Harris praised Biden’s decision as a selfless and patriotic act, reflecting his long career of putting “the American people and our country above everything else.”
With only 107 days until election day, Harris rallied her supporters, saying, “Together we will fight. And together we will win.”
Biden’s endorsement of Harris as his successor positions her as the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, with his backing providing her with financial advantages and momentum heading into the upcoming convention in Chicago.
As the first woman, first Black American, and first South Asian American to hold the office of Vice President, Harris stands to make history once again as the potential first woman and first person of color to secure a major party’s presidential nomination….Seë_Morë
