Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has shared an incident that took place when he recently visited Saburi area in FCT where a road is being constructed
In a recent video shared by TVC from 42:20, Wike described the community’s reaction during his visit, explaining how he saw firsthand the joy and excitement among residents, especially the Igbos who dominate the area.
Wike said he was surprised at the large turnout of people who were thrilled to see him, with many saying they had never seen a minister visit their community before. Wike also assured that the road project would be completed by December.
In Wike’s exact words: “Yesterday I went to Saburi. Remember this year we flagged off that project and of course they never believed it. They said it is normal political thing, you will come and do flag off then the whole thing will die. I thought what I flagged off was just a straight road. Yesterday I went to Saburi. Look at the happiness of citizens, it was heavily populated by the Igbos. Immediately I came out of the car, see jubilation and happiness of the people. They said we have never seen a minister here. That job will be completed this December”
