Veteran Nollywood actor Tajudeen Oyewole, also known as Abija, has revealed one of the most unforgettable moments of his life, where he attempted to commit suicide after a disappointment, while also stating some of the things that his girlfriend said to him that got him scared.
According to the video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Feel Right News TV on Friday, August 22, 2025, during an interview, he made it known that he was on his way to commit suicide when he met his girlfriend, who told him that he wanted to commit suicide because he was denied the opportunity to perform pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, saying that he was scared of how his girlfriend found out because he didn’t tell her anything about it.
According to Abija, he said, “Maybe I wouldn’t be alive today because I already decided to commit suicide in the past. I was on my way to kill myself when I met my girlfriend, who told me some things that scared me. I had the opportunity to go to Mecca in Saudi Arabia that year, but I was denied the opportunity just five days before the trip, so I decided to commit suicide. When my girlfriend met me on my way to the bush, she asked me what I kept around my waist, and I asked her how she knew that I had a rope tied around my waist. She opened my trousers and told me that I wanted to kill myself because I was denied the opportunity to visit Mecca. I was so surprised because I wondered how she knew I was going to commit suicide when I didn’t tell her anything. Her actions changed my mind, and I decided not to kill myself anymore.
