The fomer Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa has stated that there is no single security institution in Nigeria that can win the war against insurgency and banditry.
This statement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of PUNCH on Friday, October 31, 2025.
This statement is coming after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu removed him as the Chief of Defense Staff.
It is no longer news that after he was removed, he was replaced with General Olufemi Oluyede.
However, in the report that surfaced online, General Christopher Musa stated that all security agencies in Nigeria need to work together to put an end to insecurity.
The fomer Chief of Defense Staff also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving him the opportunity to serve under his government. He said he will continue to be loyal to his country.

“I want to state this clearly that there is no single institution, no single organisation that can win this war alone. We must synergize, we must collaborate, we must fight together. I appeal to all Nigerians to pray for our troops, to pray for our security forces so that we can win and together we shall succeed”. View, More,
