Abdulaziz Mohammed, a young boy from Borno State, has opened up about the tragic events that changed his life forever.

In a recent interview with Channels TV, the teenager shared how the Boko Haram insurgency took away his parents and left him with a deep desire for justice. His story is one of pain, loss, and an unyielding determination to fight back.

When Abdulaziz was just seven years old, his family was attacked by Boko Haram militants in their hometown. He watched helplessly as his parents were brutally killed.

The memory of that day has stayed with him, shaping his thoughts and dreams. “What I saw has already affected me. I feel like in my life, there’s nothing to do apart from being a soldier to revenge what they have done to my father,” he said during the interview.

The Boko Haram insurgency, which began in 2009, has caused immense suffering in northeast Nigeria. Thousands of families have been displaced, and countless children have been orphaned.

Abdulaziz is one of many young survivors who have lost everything. After the attack, he was left without a home or family, forced to rely on the kindness of others to survive. Despite the hardships he has faced, Abdulaziz remains focused on his goal of joining the military.

He believes that becoming a soldier will allow him to avenge his father’s death and bring justice to others who have suffered at the hands of Boko Haram.
