Olaonipekun Temitope has shared her painful experience of being trafficked to Libya by a trusted friend of her mother and how she escaped.

During an exclusive interview with Nollywood actress and movie producer, Biola Adebayo Ent, Temitope disclosed that in Libya, she was forced into sleeping with multiple men daily to make money for her traffickers. She mentioned that on some days, she had to sleep with up to 15 men, while on days with fewer customers, she was forced to sleep with at least 10. She said, “If I could flash back, we used to sleep with 10 to 15 men in a day”.

Temitope stated that she was forced to sleep with men for three weeks before she found a way to escape. She revealed that she fasted for 3 days before found a way to escape. She said that her parents had been praying for her back in Nigeria, and she believed their prayers, along with her mother’s tears, gave her the strength to act. She recalled that on the day she escaped, she jumped over a fence and ran to the Nigerian embassy in Libya. She said the embassy officials helped her return to Nigeria.
