Nweke Chukwuemeka, a suspect arrested in Enugu State for the tragic death of his neighbor’s young daughter, gave his account of what happened while being paraded by the police.
In a recent video shared by AIT from 1:13, Chukwuemeka said he did not intentionally kill the girl. He said that he had a good relationship with the girl and he often played with her and bought things for her. He said on the day of the incident he was being pursued by some people who were after his life and he decided to hold the girl hostage, hoping to use her to protect himself. He said he held a knife to her neck as he tried to escape with her but things took a tragic turn, resulting in the girl’s death.

In Chukwuemeka’s words: “I didn’t kill the girl intentionally because I have been playing with her and buying things for her. I did not kill her intentionally, I was running for my life and I wanted to use the girl to save my life because some people were after me. I held the girl to save my life but everything got to be like this. I held the knife to the girls neck when I wanted to run with her”….Vîêw–Môrê
