Ali Agboola, a Nollywood actor, has stated that he was born into a Christian home and that his late mother was a devoted Christian.
In an interview from 28:18 with Behind The Fame African A-List, Agboola said he later converted to Islam and changed his name to Ali. He stated that when he told his mother about his decision, he expected her to be angry or even curse him.
However, Agboola said that his mother reacted differently. He said she prayed for him and supported his decision. He added that she told him that if becoming a Muslim was what he truly wanted, he should go ahead.
