In a striking declaration that has stirred public discourse, Tony Okocha, a prominent political figure in Rivers State, has delivered sharp criticism against Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s housing initiative.

Speaking during a recent event covered by SYMFONI TV, Okocha dismissed the project as “worthless,” raising concerns about its execution and overall quality. He openly challenged attendees, asking, “Where is the building?” while questioning whether the scheme represents genuine development or merely a front for administrative failure.

Outlining his political ambitions, Okocha declared, “Mark my words, if I become Governor — be it tomorrow or by 2027 — we will produce a leader with the mental capacity to lead Rivers State.” His statement underscores his resolve to enact significant reforms if given the opportunity to govern.

Okocha emphasized his stance on the current project, stating, “The first thing I would advise him to do upon inauguration is to mobilize equipment to that site and demolish that nonsense.” His remarks reflect a strong desire for a complete overhaul and signal his determination to drive change.

Hear him speak: “The first advice I give to him is after he’s swearing in, move equipment to that place and bring down that rubbish.”
