Former President Goodluck Jonathan has stated that the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria is more complicated than many people think. He said the Boko Haram group started in 2009 when he was vice president under the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

In a video shared by Channels Television from 4:38, Jonathan said after Yar’Adua’s death in 2010, he became president and spent his five years in office battling Boko Haram.

Jonathan said he believed his successor, the late President Muhammadu Buhari, would wipe out Boko Haram within a reasonable time. However, he said the Boko Haram group is still active and continues to pose a threat.

I thought that immediately I leave within a reasonable time late General Buhari was going to wipe them out but till today the Boko Haram is still there” See, More, Here>>>
