The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi has stated that he shut down the office of the first lady because they’re awarded more momey than some of his ministries.
He made the statement in a viral video that was shared on the official X handle of Peter Obi Media Centre on Wednesday.
The former governor of Anambra state was speaking about why Nigeria needs to cut down the cost of governance when he made the comment. He accused the current administration of being reckless when it comes to spending.
Peter stated that;
“By the time you add N160 billion for the new jet, N21 billion for the new VP house, N15 billion for the library of the National Assembly, N15 billion for their clinic and all other furnishings, you will have over N250 billion. 95% of the politicians are the same.
I shut down the office of the first lady because they’re awarded more money than some of my ministries. Nobody voted this woman, she’s my wife”….S££ _ MOR£
