Rivers State Elder Statesman Anabs Sara-Igbe has debunked claims that he misled the already suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking during an interview session with Channels Television on Friday, he explained that the Rivers Elders’ Council only informed Governor Siminalayi Fubara that the eight-point agenda he signed would backfire against him.
He asserted that Governor Siminalayi Fubara obeyed the eight-point agenda by withdrawing his case from court, recognizing the defected House of Assembly members, and recalling the resigned commissioners in the state.
In contrast, Anabs Sara-Igbe argued that Nyesom Wike’s faction failed to obey the eight-point agenda to resolve the crisis in the state. He alleged that the FCT Minister boldly claimed he would not obey the eight-point agenda set by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Anabs Sara-Igbe: “I never misled Siminalayi Fubara, the Elders’ council advised him that the agreement you are signing is dangerous. You are withdrawing your case, the man who took you to court has not withdrawn his case. Those who resigned on their own, the law says you can not put an unwilling worker on a willing master, you accepted them. The people who left their party, decamped and defected, the President directed you, you accepted them. The eight-point agenda you fulfilled all of them, they never did one. Wike came out and said he will never obey Mr President, Mr President security reports did not tell him.
