Tope Fasua, who currently works as the Special Adviser on Economic Affairs to President Bola Tinubu, has spoken about an experience he had with Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Fasau said in 2018 when he was running for president, he met Peter Obi at the airport. He said during that meeting, he gave Obi a copy of his campaign manifesto and Obi promised to review it and get back to him.

However, Fasua said things took a strange turn. He said after that day, he could no longer reach Obi. He said that Obi stopped responding to his calls and messages. Fasua stated that he still doesn’t understand why Obi acted that way. He said, “I need to know what happened you know because I called Peter Obi and he won’t pick his phone anymore”
