According to Vanguard, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, leader of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), expressed mixed feelings about the large turnout at the church’s recent 72nd annual convention.
Speaking during a monthly thanksgiving service at the Throne of Grace Parish in Ebute-Metta, he shared his worries about the size of the crowd under the theme ‘Greater Heights.’
Adeboye said, “I love crowd and I always feel happy when I see crowd. But at the last convention I was afraid when I saw the crowd. When I went to the children’s section, I saw thousands of children stretching up to a kilometer.”
He highlighted the difficulties of managing such a big gathering, especially concerning child safety. “It’s hard to keep even 100 kids together without problems. But thankfully, God helped us, and none of the thousands of children went missing,” he added.
During the service, Adeboye prayed for improvement in the sports sector and called for its revival. He also welcomed the church community to a new calendar year starting in September….Vïew–Môrê
